115 The Worth of Jerusalem

英語日記第３弾かな？？
英語の宿題をそのまま載せます。
ちょっと今回のは、マジメです。。
いつもはマジメじゃないのか？？
ちょっとマジメに書くと、後が怖い。。
一応、ネットで調べながら書いたから。。
間違いは無いと思うけど。。思うだけかもしれない。。
よろしく。。

In 1982, Old City of Jerusalem and its walls are nominated in the List of World Heritage Sites in danger. The reason is “the danger to religious properties, threats of destruction following uncontrolled urban development” and development of tourism. The City of Jerusalem had been destroyed lots of times for many years. Many people and countries have taken this city for the religious reason. The Christians, the Jewish people, and the Muslims live in this city. The holy places of each religion are put in this city. How does this city have such complications?

In the biblical age, the land of Israel and Palestine are called a promised land by Jewish people. In about 1000 B.C., David the king of Israel built the capital city on Jerusalem. His son Solomon built the temple of the Jewish on the city. In 586 B.C., Babylon destroyed the city of Jerusalem and the temple and captured Jewish people and took them to her country. About 50 years later, Jewish people came back to Jerusalem and rebuilt the city and the temple.

In about 30 A.D., Jesus Christ preached and performed many miracles in the city. And He was hung on the cross, buried, and resurrected in the city. After that, many Christians, who believe Jesus Christ, lived in the city. In 70 A.D., when the Roman Empire destroyed Jerusalem, the temple was destroyed except a piece of the wall of the temple. Even now, this wall is still in the city. After the Roman Empire authorized Christianity, many churches were built in the city.

In 638 A.D., the Muslims captured Jerusalem. They built the Dome of the Rock on the site where Muhammad ascended to God in heaven. After that, the Christians and the Muslims had many wars to take Jerusalem for about 500 years. In 1187 A.D., Saladin took Jerusalem. After that, during the next 730 years, the three religions lived and each built a community in this city.

After World War II, the Jewish people rebuilt their country, Israel, around Jerusalem. The Jordan, Palestine, and Arabic countries that were almost all Muslim began the war against Israel to take back their land and their holy place. And now, Jerusalem is divided between Israel and Jordan.

Now, they keep the war around Jerusalem. Why do so many people bleed for this city? This city has the holy places of the Jewish, the Christians, and the Muslims. Many people lived and worshipped each god in this city. They showed their faith by alternately taking this city from the other religions. What is the worth of Jerusalem? In the movie “Kingdom of Heaven,” Saladin answered “Nothing” to this question. And after he thought a few moments, he said “Everything.” There is no worth in the building of Jerusalem or taking this city. There is worth on visiting this city and worshipping God in this place. I wish that the peace will come to this city for people visiting and worshipping God soon.

114 How great is our God!

最近、プレイズバンドの練習が楽しくて仕方ない。。
順を追って話そう。。

まず、てでは、いつもバンド練習に行きたくない。
行くと、２～３時間かかるし、その間、てでは、
ずっと音響卓をいじっている訳ではない。。
暇ができたりする。。
そして、みんながしゃべっていることも分からない事が多い。。
疲れてる時は寝たいし、宿題もたまってたりする。。

だけど、行かなければならないので、行く。。

行くと、やっぱり、暇になったりする。
疲れて眠くなったりもする。。

でも、賛美するのは、やっぱり楽しい。
ワーシップの言葉が分からなくても、賛美はやっぱりいいんだな。。
てでは、楽器弾かないし、歌詞もうまく言えない事がおおいけど、
みんなの賛美に合わせて、踊ってるだけでも楽しい。。
それに、みんなうまいんだな。。
テクニックというより、みんな賛美が好きで、楽しんでやっているんだと思う。
それが、こっちにも伝わってくるから、こっちもうれしいし、
がんばれ！って気持ちになってくる。

だから、てでは、音響の他に、もう一個、役を負うことにしました。
プレイズバンド、応援担当。。
いつも練習の最後は、全曲通しでやるんだけど、
その時、てでは、後ろの方で、（会堂のちょうどみんながいる反対側が音響卓なんだ。）
一緒に歌って踊ってます。
てでは、何度か日本でも賛美リードしてたけど、
練習とかしてる時、メンバーじゃなくても、一緒にいてくれたり、
一緒に歌ってくれたりした人にすごく助けられました。。
ただ居てくれるだけで良かった。。
自分がやっている事に共感してもらえると、一人じゃないって気がするから。。
特に、バンドのような、みんなの前にでてやる奉仕はすごい緊張するし。。
会堂の反対側に仲間がいるぞ！って、みんなが感じてもらえたらと思って。。

113 バレンタインってこんなに大騒ぎするんだ。。

蔵王に行きたい。。
スキーがしたい。。

今日は、バレンタインデーだったね。
てでは、１年の間でこの日ほど縁のうすい日は無いんだけど。。

アメリカでは、結構大騒ぎするんだね。
バレンタインデーってのは、普段お世話になってる人に贈り物をする日らしい。
男性とか、女性とかあまり関係なく。。
ま、もちろん、恋人の日でもあるんだけど。。

バレンタインデーの挨拶は、"ハッピーバレンタインデー"でいいそうです。。
バレンタインデーって確か、聖バレンタインが死んだ日ではなかったか？？
ま、いっか。。

日本でいつも支えてくれているみなさんに。。
もちろん、日本以外にいる人も。。
いつもありがとう。。
